Group Home

Over the years, we have tried to serve the Group Home girls here in Waynesville. There is the Baker Group Home and the other is located on Adamsmoor. There are 14 girls total. We have parties for these girls 4 times a year; namely an Oct. Harvest party, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and the 4th of July. We try to have small projects each time and then of course there is food. We lead the girls in song; a favorite is Jesus Loves Me.  The girls are also invited to attend our Spring Banquet in May around Mother’s Day.

Quaker Heights

WMU felt there was a need to one-one visitation with some of the residents of this home. Encouragement and prayer along with a smile can go a long way with folks. There will be a specific time that several ladies will meet and list of residents to visit. Look for the times and dates as they are made available.

Edgewood Baptist Center

Over the next year we will be collecting a variety of items, including day to day toiletry items, supplies, ect., to give to this center which tries to help those in need in our area. Check your Sunday School class for information on what is being collected.

Lottie Moon, Ray Roberts, and Annie Armstrong Offerings

These three offerings are directly sent to support missions in the Cooperative Program in the Southern Baptist Convention. The WMU has helped to promote these with promotional materials and videos.
